After 136 long days without NBA basketball, we’ve arrived at the eve of the Orlando restart. The next few months will be an exciting time for the league and the future of this site and the brand I’m attempting to build. Basketball Beeswax has tons of content prepared to take full advantage of what might be the most loaded portion of a sports calendar we’ve ever seen. On Basketball Eve, I’ll be going through those new forms of content for the brand in written, audio, and video capacities.
I’ve decided to do a nightly recap of the Orlando Bubble’s games and events called the “Quarantitle” (quarantine + title) - all time creativity on display there. Quarantitle will have its own page on the site that will be updated periodically throughout the day. Around midnight central time, I’ll post a longform recap of the day as a whole. I plan to continue the Quarantitle until the Quarantitle is actually won by a team, asterisk or not. This should become the primary stream of content from Basketball Beeswax over the course of the Orlando Bubble.
The Basketball Beeswax Podcast launches with its inaugural episode next Sunday, only on Spotify and Anchor. The BBP will be hosted by me, Simon Pruitt, and will feature a revolving door of guests from around the sports media world. The pod will focus on both the most relevant topics in sports and media from the unique perspective of a 16 year old who’s never been successful in either field.

Basketball Beeswax is based in Dallas, Texas. As a result, a large majority of our audience are Mavericks fans. One of the most dedicated fans I know is Owen Daryani who previously wrote a piece on Mike Tyson's return to the ring. During the NBA restart, Owen will be recapping every single Dallas Mavericks game, inserting his own intense fandom and sports knowledge into the mix.
That covers all the new avenues of content for the brand, however, the existing product will remain. Alex Blaine is set to continue his coverage of the NFL season as it moves towards its heavily altered kickoff. I’m hoping to write and post two 600-800 word articles about the NBA and beyond per week, ideally on Mondays and Fridays. As for the future, please continue to support! In just 4 short months, we’ve gotten an amazing response from sports fans worldwide. Special shoutouts to theScore’s Joseph Casciaro, No Dunks’ Leigh Ellis, and Sean of @nbachopshop for some great feedback and aiding in the growth of the site.
