It's official. Basketball Beeswax has reached 100 followers on Instagram. This accomplishment was celebrated as if I was a member of the '98 Bulls, with plentiful champagne and cigars. After the party subsided, I got the brilliant idea to compile this small audience's thoughts on the eternal MJ vs LeBron debate. Enjoy this collection of your basketball opinions, 50% of which I passionately disagree with. Pay special attention to Benji, Spencer, and Jaden's takes, it won't be the last time you'll see them.

"While both MJ and Lebron were both the best players of their era and transcended the sport, Jordan’s level of domination and value to the NBA was undoubtedly higher than Lebron’s. 6 rings versus 4, 5 MVP’s against 4 and a DPOY award for MJ cements him as the superior player on the court. Off the court, his value to the association be seen in ratings: over 29 million people tuned into the 97-98 finals... the league hasn’t seen over 20 million since. While both athletes were generational talents and international icons, there will simply never be another Michael Jordan."
Benji is planning on writing here in the near future, here's his latest work: https://touchdownsquad.com/2020/05/18/2020-quarterback-tiers/

"Well I actually think it’s Lebron because he has carried some garbage teams. Also he has been statistically amazing. Lebron is the Peyton Manning or Drew Brees of the NFL. "

"Michael Jordan never lost when he appeared in the finals. Refuses to lose."

"Michael Jordan has a better Points per game. He also has double the amount of championship rings than Lebron. Michael had 6 MVPs and James has 3. Jordan has won rookie of the year. He also won finals MVP every time he won a championship. Jordan has had 14 times he was on the All-NBA team. Lebron won Rookie of the year and only 3 Finals MVPs. He did play in 17 all stars tho but Michael Jordan only played 13 seasons and Lebron has played 17 seasons. Lebron has 34,087 points while Jordan has 32,292 and Lebron been in the league for 4 more seasons than Jordan did."
@spencer_drolc - LeBron
"I'm going with LeBron because of the finals stats and the offensive talent he has to play against doesn't compare to MJ's era."
@jaden_avery21 - TIE
"I say they are equal. MJ had to play through the physical part of the NBA, with hand checking, kicking, and throwing elbows. LeBron had to play through the talent era where people are pulling up from half court and making them easily."

"Am I putting my own opinion in an article intended to be about the readers? Yes. Am I intentionally putting mine last so that I can nullify the opinions of the people I just celebrated? Also yes. Is LeBron James the greatest basketball player ever? 100% yes. LeBron is playing against the highest level of competition in basketball history and has done so for 17 years. The 3-6 Finals record is heavily tainted as 5 of the 6 teams LeBron lost to in the Finals would crush MJ's Bulls. Outside of accolades, LeBron brings the best out of every teammate he plays with. While The Last Dance will try to convince you otherwise, MJ's importance to the Bulls was nowhere near LeBron's on every Cleveland team. I may be in the minority in this case, however I anticipate the public opinion to shift in the near future when LeBron wins a title on his third team. Stay tuned, the King's coronation is near."
